Thursday Morning Hoddle Of Coffee: Tottenham Hotspur News And Links For July 21, 2011

Good Thursday morning Spursland! Thank the Lord it is almost the weekend. For you that means a break from the working week, for me it means I am one day closer to leaving South Carolina and the land of perpetual sunburn. I can't wait to be back in a place where I don't need to put on SPF 45 just to take out the trash.

And now the "news"

Bassong Open To Ligue 1 Return-Sky Sports

This would be, I think, best for all parties. Spurs get rid of a player that just doesn't fit and pick up a little cash, Bassong gets a chance at first team football. The surprising thing about this article, Bassong is only 25! I could have sworn he was like 33.

Sandro To Return Within The Month-Daily Fail

Well the team says Sandro will be out for extended, precautionary rehab, but the Daily Mail seems to think that statement isn't true. Solid reporting gang!

Hating-Dear Mr Levy

Spooky23 examines the question of who we hate and why we hate them. This is a very important issue for readers of this site as many of us are American. People often question why (if we do at all) feel so much hate for Arsenal. I don't know why I do, but I do, so there.

What's happening around SB Nation after the jump

TIm Howard Is Interviewed By Royal Blue Mersey-Royal Blue Mersey

It seems that the stakes have been raised. Bravo to Royal Blue Mersey but now I will be forced to get an interview with Gareth Bale and Luka Modric at the same time. Because I am competitive like that.

Barca Inch Closer To Sanchez Deal-SB Nation Soccer

I find this story to be rather flaccid. I don't understand why Barcelona think they need him. They have the best forward in the world in Messi, and the best midfield crew in the world. Why spend so much money on this guy? After that my interest in this drama is next to nothing, maybe I'm alone. I'm probably alone.

Mexican Prirmera Team Previews: Pachuca

I cannot stress enough how awesome these team previews are. I catch a Mexican league game maybe once a month, and I know nothing about the league. But that all changes this year, I am jumping in head first, and these team previews are my ticket to the dance.
