If you were wondering about the futures of Kyle Walker and Danny Rose and whether or not they were in the long-term plans of Harry Redknapp and Tottenham Hotspur, wonder no more. The club announced today on their official website that they have signed both Walker and Rose to long-term contract extensions. Walker will now be with the club through 2015, while Rose will be with the club through 2016.

The future career path of Walker wasn't really in doubt, as most Spurs fans have pegged him as the team's probable starting right back, both in the short-term and long-term. His defensive positioning and his judgment when it comes whether or not to get forward needs a little bit of work, but he's a pretty intelligent player for his age, he's a solid tackler, and he's an absolutely fantastic athlete.

Rose is a slightly different story, though. There were rumors circulating for part of last season that he was very much on the outs at Tottenham and that he would be solid at first opportunity, possibly to a Championship club. An injury crisis at White Hart Lane allowed Rose to get some playing time and look good while he was getting it, a pretty big turn of events in his career. Now, Rose looks like he's going to be a member of the squad for a very long time.

Let the Rose/Bale, left back/left midfield debate continue...
