Tottenham Hotspur's Best XI Of The Decade: Gareth Bale

In a result that will surprise no one in the slightest, Gareth Bales has been named the left midfielder in our Tottenham Hotspur Best XI of the Decade. Bale ran away with the vote, perhaps due to the dearth of other options, earning an astonishing 90% of the votes cast.

Tottenham's Welsh winger is considered by many to be one of the best left-sided midfielders in the world, so it only makes sense that he be included in this Best XI squad. Last season he was Spurs' third leading goal scorer in all competitions and if he continues to score goals there's no reason to think that Bale cannot become one of the elite players in the world.

Bale has extended his contract with Tottenham Hotspur through 2014 and I have no doubt that another extension will be signed sometime this year. I think I speak for all Tottenham fans when I say that we're looking forward to more strong performances from Gareth Bale in the years to come. Welcome to the squad!

Our Best XI squad is starting to fill out. We only have 4 more positions remaining, are you excited yet?
