Happy Tuesday, Spursland! So Everton played Manchester United yesterday. My reaction in two words, "LOL Fergie!"
And now the "news"
Because he isn't completely insane, only mostly insane.
What's happening around SB Nation after the jump
Please, please just go away for a while. Let us get nostalgic and then you can come back. Also, stop playing baseball and age with grace a-hole.
I feel like I should care about this. I like women's equality. I feel as if I benefit from a society were people are placed on equal playing fields and then judged on individual merits. I just can't bring myself to give a shit about this.
This is actually exactly how I imagined things worked over there.
May I just say that while Man Utd. has a lot of injury issues, the confidence in their offense that they decided to start Michael Carrick at CB and Valencia as a right back is amazing. And yes, it was Carrick who's marking made Fallaini look like the greatest aerial threat in history.
In the end their offense was somehow anemic and they lost in deserved fashion. I will say this, though -- I poked my head in on The Busby Babe's live match thread and their fans were nothing short of class. No declarations that the sky was falling, no complaints about refereeing. Just a well done to Everton and a "we'll get 'em next time" attitude. I think we could all learn a lot from them.
