Michael Dawson's transfer to Queens Park Rangers is on hold. Sky reported earlier this week that Tottenham had accepted QPR's bid for the English international, but Mark Hughes said on Friday that things are quite ready to be finalized.
"At the moment it is not where I'd hoped it would be," Hughes said. "We've still got days left until the window closes, so it might be revisited."
The report had QPR paying about £9 million for Dawson, which would b a nice bit of business for Spurs. Whether that is what is holding the deal up, personal terms or something else is unclear. All we know is that there was a reported deal, it is now on the rocks and for now, Dawson is still a Spurs player.
That list bit is encouraging because while the brain may say "sell, sell, sell", the heart is saying "no, no, no!" That Younes Kaboul has now gone down injured and left Tottenham with three central defenders makes the brain reconsider its stance too.
