A lot of folks on twitter, and probably some on this website, think that they have a very good idea of what Tottenham Hotspur are going to do over the next couple of days. Some people think they know which players Daniel Levy is going to buy, and will inevitably freak out if they don't happen because Moussa Dembele is the only midfielder on the planet/Hugo Lloris is the only goalkeeper on the planet.
It's Tuesday and the transfer deadline is closing in. Only four days remain to sign players, and it seems obvious who Tottenham have set their sights on, but we will be proven wrong.
Just like every other transfer window, Tottenham will make a bid for a player who has not been linked to them at all over the next four days.
This is just a reminder for everyone, because I feel like this reminder needs to be handed out every single deadline week. Just because Spurs have reportedly put in bids on Willian, Dembele, Lloris and Yann M'Vila does not mean that these are the only players that they are inquiring about right now. There is always a Rafael Van der Vaart, a Giuseppe Rossi, a Louis Saha, that comes out of absolutely nowhere.
In fact, I am going to go as far as to say that Tottenham Hotspur will sign a player over the next four days that we have never written about on this website.
You don't know who Levy is after. The papers don't know who Levy is after. There is no such thing as an 'ITK'. We don't know what Levy is up to, and we might not know until midnight on August 31.
