UPDATE: Tottenham 3-2 Man United, reaction
Happy Spursday, Spursland! Today, Tottenham Hotspur head to the Theatre of Dreams, Old Trafford, which is much more like a house of horrors for them. Spurs haven't defeated Manchester United away since 19screw you I don't want to talk about it.
Here are your lineups.
Tottenham Hotspur starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Brad Friedel; Jan Vertonghen, Steven Caulker, William Gallas, Kyle Walker; Sandro, Moussa Dembele; Gareth Bale, Clint Dempsey, Aaron Lennon; Jermain Defoe
Manchester United starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Anders Lindegaard; Patrice Evra, Jonny Evans, Rio Ferdinand, Rafael da Silva; Michael Carrick, Paul Scholes; Ryan Giggs, Shinji Kagawa, Nani; Robin van Persie
I'm not surprised that Alex Ferguson has opted to start Giggs on the left instead of playing Wayne Rooney from the start. I'm pleasantly surprised that Clint Dempsey and Steven Caulker have gotten starts over Gylfi Sigurdsson and Michael Dawson.
Kickoff is at 5:30 p.m. local, 12:30 p.m. ET. You can catch the game on FOX Soccer or FOX Deportes in the U.S. or Sportsnet One in Brazil. I do not see the channel listed for U.K., so if you know what it is, please let me know and I will amend this post.
