Heya Cartilage Free!
A1 here, hope you're all well.
So, my news:
A friend of mine from primary school, Takura "Tak" Mtandari (links: 1 2 3), was snapped up into the Spurs academy at a young age and remained with them for several years, getting a professional contract under Ramos and then unfortunately being released by Redknapp. He was a phenomenal talent at primary school for what it's worth, you literally couldn't tackle him. I was fortunate that he was in my class/year so I never had to play against him, and he's probably I guess part of the reason why I enjoy football so much to this day. He's subsequently spent time at Norwich and had a trial for PSV. Right now, he's just back from the US, and is looking for a club. Hopefully, signs are that he'll be picked up by a good side in a good league, as the interest from PSV indicates.
Maybe some of you followed his progress a few years back as I obviously did. I'm sure that all of you wish him as well as I do, he's a really nice guy and even at school he kept his feet on the ground despite his undoubted skill and just played to enjoy the game. I've good memories of a fine partnership in one Kwik Cricket game with him that I'm certain he'll have forgotten by now. For me, crowning glory. Guy was so cool! He's always tended to do well in my FM games, put it that way.
Aaaanyway, long story short, I got in touch with him the other day and asked him if he'd be up for doing a Q&A session. He said yes, and that he still had a lot of friends at the club who might be better equipped to answer some of the questions (this is the approximate age group of being early 20s so think people like Danny Rose, Steven Caulker, Andros Townsend, Tom Carroll). He's said he's happy to pass on any questions(/I guess messages?) you have and see to which they'll be happy to respond.
I hope this goes as well as I think it could.
Please be duly respectful and - as Tak has requested specifically - don't ask questions which could get the players in trouble. I've suggested that Kevin vet the questions and that we then email them on to Tak. That aside, knock yourselves out, guys. Questions and messages for consideration/filtering in the comments below, hopefully the Q&A itself will happen in a couple of weeks (allowing more people a chance to see the post and contribute).
