Now as most of you veterans will immediately notice, I am new on here. I have been an avid reader of this website and many a times i have come across posts and messages regarding the future our beloved club is heading towards and seeing as there is alot of banter on here i shall add my 2 pence in and simply illustrate the SIMPLE, COST - EFFECTIVE (let me repeat that again in case Mr Levy might be reading) COST - EFFECTIVE solution to obtaining our Holy Grail......FINISHING ABOVE ARSENAL.
Now some of you might call me stupid as "clearly" finishing in the top 4 is the priority but to be honest with you guys, personally, if we finished 9th and arsenal finished 10th, the season would be a success to my standards :).
Anyways, enough chit-chat, lets get to the nitty gritty.......
For the upcoming season, i will demonstrate the relatively achievable steps our club can take to transform THFC from the "Almost There United" label that to be painfully fair we have earned into 2013-2014 Barclays Premier League Champions :).
Formation: 4-3-3 (BPL) / 4-2-3-1 (Other Competitions)
GK - Lloris
RB - Walker
CB - Kaboul
CB - Vertonghen
LB - Shaw
RDM - Dembele
CD - Sandro
LDM - Paulinho
RW - Bale
LW - Villa
ST - Benteke
Subs: Judged during pre-season and will rotate depending on form, injuries, fatigue and opponents.
25 Man Squad: Lloris, Friedel, Walker, Naughton, Kaboul, Caulker, Dawson, Shaw, Rose, Dembele, Holtby, Sandro, Sigurdsson, Paulinho, Carroll, Bale, Lennon, Townsend, Villa, Falque, Dempsey, Benteke and Aubameyang.
Now now, doesnt this look tasty?? Mmmmmm......to carry on, we need to simply promote 2/3 youngsters from our development/U-21 squad for odd cup ties against lower teams to monitor progress (preferably a striker, a midfielder and a defender).
*NOTE* For our upcoming season, we need to either hand the captaincy to Lloris or Vertonghen due to their experience, leadership qualities, future stability and the chemistry they have created with the whole squad in just 12 months. (takes a certain sort)
Transfers: the purchases of Shaw (£16m), Villa (£8m), Benteke (£25m) and Aubameyang (£10m) would arrive via the negotiating nous of a deadly deal making combo of Mr Levy and Mr Baldini and, to be abit cheeky and tbf honest, i would love to see a sign of ambition and commitment from our £4.2 BILLION worth owner, MR LEWIS (yes sir, i know u got it). The majority of the funds for these players would naturally arrive by the sales of: Gomes, Assou-Ekotto, Huddlestone, Parker, Adebayor & Defoe. (Paulinho not included as it seems its a done deal).
Livermore should be shipped out on a half-a-season loan deal to a lower BPL side, Norwhich City under our old boy Chris Hughton would be ideal, but i would not complain seeing him in a Swansea City kit as they have a similar style of play to THFC.
I believe without a shadow of a doubt this squad would be more than capable of not only competing for the BPL title but might even pull of a double (maybe triple) trophy season under the management of AVB, Steffen Freund and the rest of THFC staff so im asking any THFC out there to join together and circulate this 'intention to destroy' on ALL THFC, ENIC International, all THFC personnel social media sites even the Tavistock Group website in the hope to get someone's attention LOL.
"hey.....whats the worst that can happen?"
Yours truly, Martin Lazarus, future THFC (majority) shareholder.
