Why NBC Sports' Premier League coverage isn't what it's all cracked up to be.

I am a huge Premier League fan. So when I first found about that coverage of the Premier League in the United States was switching from Fox Soccer Channel and ESPN to NBC Sports, I was a little worried that the coverage would become inferior. But as the summer went by, I became less and less worried about NBC Sports' coverage after reading the numerous press releases about how their coverage of the Premier League would be like none other seen in the United States. If games weren't on NBC, NBC Sports or any of their sister channels, their would be Extra Time, a set of channels that will broadcast all of the other games, or Live Extra, the online streaming service where every game is available to stream. So, let's just say I was really, really pumped because I'd have the ability to watch all 380 games this season.

FLASH FORWARD TO AUGUST 17TH, 2013

Well, this sucks. Extra Time doesn't show up ANYWHERE on my TV listings. And the real kicker? If you can't get to your computer while your favorite team is playing to start watching the game, well too bad, you can never watch that game again. Our friends at NBC Sports delete the ability to watch that game a few minutes after the game is over and there is no archive of games.

So NBC Sports, when you tell me your coverage is the best, I just laugh. Well, actually I just sulk because you have screwed everything up. At least with FOX SOCCER 2 GO, if I wasn't able to watch my team that day, I had about a week (until my team's next game) to watch that game. You have taken that away from me and I am furious. You say you are making easier for Americans to watch the Premier League? You just made it so much harder.
