There is still room for newcomers but if you have an interest in joining, please express said interest soon.
I know this seems a bit repetitive but I want to ensure you know what you're signing into and that any newcomers know what they're getting into. Feel free to skip this section but the rules are as follows;
There are two time periods and then the individual months inside those time periods. The first time period corresponds to first half of the season, August to the end of December. The second time period corresponds to the second half of the season, January to the end of May. Because that's too easy, I've decided to split the time periods up into their individual months. August, September, October, November, December for the first half of the season. January, February, March, April and May for the second half of the season.
If you pick correctly that Mark Hughes will be sacked in the first half of the season, and he is, but you have predicted he'll be sacked in October and he's sacked in November, you get a total of 10, 5 for the correct manager and 5 for the correct time period. You miss out on the 10 for the correct month.
If you predict that Hughes will get the sack in November, and he does, you get the bonus 10. 20 in total, 5 for the correct manager, 5 for the correct time period and 10 for the correct month.
Moment of truth:
After a whole
summer five minutes researching tirelessly, you can now submit your predictions. Our journey has almost reached its terminus.
As most of you are aware, all you have to do is communicate your proposed sackings/resignations. This can be done through the comment section below, or through Twitter (@mk47mack), or through an e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org). If you want to keep your proverbial cards close to your proverbial chest, send your proposed sacking/resignations through Twitter or E-Mail, make sure to include your pseudonym on the site.
In a perfect world, the proposed dismissals/resignations would look something akin to:
Mauricio Pochettino - February
Arsene Wenger -
In the morningAugust
Proposed sackings/resignations can be submitted from today until the day after the end of the transfer window, i.e. 3rd of September.
What if a manager is courted by a big club mid season and the manager leaves the club he was at before and joins them. Technically speaking this isn't a sacking. Should I include this under the osposis of sackings/resignations?
As usual, I'll be here to answer any and all questions.
Proposed sackings/resignations can be
eaten edited, within reason, at any time until the 3rd of September.
If you predict a manager to get the sack at any point during the season and he doesn't, you will be docked 5 points. Incidentally, there is no limit to the amount of managers you can predict to get the sack. This way you can play it conservative and predict a few sure-fire managers who will get the sack or you can #YOLO and predict a load of managers to get the sack.
