Don't care for Tom Ince? Don't think he's good enough for Tottenham Hotspur? Think Tottenham already have too many good players who can play in wide attacking positions? Too bad! The club have been linked to a move for the Blackpool and England Under-21 winger over the last few windows, but he's elected to stay with the Tangerines because his father manages the club.
Or, at least he managed the club until Tuesday.
Blackpool Football Club can confirm that manager Paul Ince and assistants Alex Rae and Steve Thompson have had their contracts terminated with immediate effect.
With no family in Blackpool, there's no reason for Ince to stay put. Especially in a World Cup year while Theo Walcott isn't playing and Ashley Young continues to be crap.
It doesn't matter that Spurs have a couple of young left-footed wingers who can play on the right. They're going to be linked to Ince again, and the narrative is going to believe that he's willing to go now that his dad is out at Bloomfield Road. Inevitably, despite the links to Spurs, Liverpool and Everton, he'll end up at Cardiff or Aston Villa or Sunderland.
Just prepare yourselves for another window's worth of this mess. You'll see this pop up in the rags on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, because 'Spurs have been put on alert' or something.
