Alright, CFCers! Week one is in the books, and the bottom line is: You guys suck at picking fixtures. :)
All kidding aside, it was a rough week to open up. No one managed to crack double digits in points out of a possible 23 points to acquire. The bonus helped out quite a few of you in the long run, though, and has made the race very exciting. Here are your current standings through one week:
Tied for first: Spanishformonsters and Geoff Vader each have 7 points.
Tied for third place: Brometheus, Solved, BurqueSpurs and Tom Spurrific with 6 points. Tom didn't pick very well, but picked up the full 3 points for correctly guessing 29 goals were scored.
We then have an absolute clusterfuck below the top six.
Five points:
Chemo, CrimsonTribe, ZenGarden, Shiro Kabocha, and Cousin_Drew
Four points:
Tottenham Makes Me Cry, f22a4bandit, Aslan the Melon, and Eriver
Three points:
pd8258, Bravespurs, Gylfi - Viking Lord of the North, -Shane, SomeWhiteGuy,
Two points:
FIelds Offensive, Benoit's Smart Car, Johnsobs
One point:
Dr. Martin Van Nostrand
Zero points (Mainly because they didn't get their picks in):
Dr. Tran, Head Chicken Keeper, MisterM, leviphillip, Brixton17, Carnival_Sorts, queef fart
WEEK TWO FIXTURES!!!
Because of the mid-week fixture list, we're going to mix this up a bit. You'll have six fixtures on Wednesday to pick (giving you time and not having to rush tomorrow), and then four later on in the week.
WEDNESDAY (from the Premier League):
Le Arse vs. Manchester United
Manchester City vs. Sunderland
Newcastle United vs. Spurs
Stoke vs. Swansea
SATURDAY (from the FL Championship):
AFC Bournemouth vs Burnley
Ipswich Town vs Blackpool
Birmingham City vs Huddersfield Town
Watford vs Middlesbrough
BONUS CHANCE!!!
You guys are going to hate me for this one.
I want you to predict the total number of disciplines over these ten fixtures. Now, let me clarify quick so there's no confusion. This means every card that is produced, so if there is a Yellow, then a Yellow to Red for that same player, that would be TWO disciplines, not three, obviously. Yellows, Reds, each is just one discipline.
Same range rules apply.
Within two = 1 points
Within one = 2 points
Exactly correct = 3 points
Get your picks in by the start of games on Wednesday, February 12, 2:45 PM EST!
