Do you remember when the Scottish Premier League was sort of relevant and watchable and anyone cared about it all? That was cool! There are still a lot of Celtic supporters that like to pretend that it is, which is cute, and perfectly understandable since they won that competition this year. And on Saturday, August 2, they'll play Tottenham Hotspur in a preseason friendly.
For those of you who were looking for an excuse to get to Glasgow, I'm afraid I've got some bad news. The game won't be played at Celtic Park, but instead in Finland. So if you have any desire to go there -- and I hear it's beautiful in August -- you can do so and catch a game at the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki.
All jokes aside, Celtic have a pretty great fanbase and should be a huge club. I'm sure a lot of fans of both teams will make the trip and it'll be a good time. Hopefully it'll get on television and those of us who don't have the time and money to get to Helsinki can enjoy the spectacle.
