Happy Monday Spursland! And so that happened- not super-disappointing, but not exactly the smashing we wanted to see right out the gates opening to preseason. We saw some of our beloveds (Tom and Harry) do pretty well, and we saw Siggy unceremoniously given the kick out the door he seems to have needed. Davies will be done with his medical seemingly any second and we are off to the races. So what if we are off to the races more like the tortoise than the hair? We all know who won that in the end. And on an actually bright and not at all stretching like a yoga instructor for a silver lining note, nobody got injured!
And now the "news"
Vorm will presumably be the back up keeper as Lloris has just signed a new deal and is a bit younger and better and stuff.
One day, his goal is to win the title one day. So this is not, I repeat not, some crazy throwing down of an unreasonable gauntlet. This is a reasonable statement from a manager who has the current squad and he's essentially waited by choice or lack of funds or clout to make any deep dive into the transfer market in a year of MASSIVE international transfers.
This is some Disney level phantom dong.
This same thing happened to me once. I was four and I was playing keeper in a league for kids so small we didn't even have nets, just little tiny cones.
Parents just don't understand, or so says science. Apparently I have kids because I don't know what the fuck is going on here.
