An Actual First Post

The first post of this blog was an inadequate, hastily made one. It was not fit for a first post on such a distinguished blog, and for that I apologize. It was unprofessional, to say the least, despite being extremely accurate. This blog deserves a real first post. One full of wit. One that is informative. One that has dirty jokes.

Okay, enough with the shenanigans.

My name is Kevin McCauley, and this is Cartilage Free Captain. This blog is dedicated to covering Tottenham Hotspur of the English Premier League. The name is an homage to club captain Ledley King, our world class central defender who can only play about 20 games per season due to the lack of cartilage in his knee and all of his joints rubbing bone on bone. I've been a regular soccer blogger for a couple of years and a Tottenham Hotspur fan for considerably longer, but I've never run a team-specific blog. A company may be hiring me to write one, but I have to go through a trial period to prove that I am not a complete screw off. Hence, the shoddy looking blogger site. If said company decides to hire me, this blog will be moved to a new server and will have a much sexier design.

For now, here's what you can look forward to on this site:

-Post match thoughts: Spurs vs. Benfica, today
-Following Sandro, today
-Following Sandro: Performance Review vs. Sao Paulo, tomorrow
-Spurs vs. Fiorentina: What I Want to See, tomorrow
-Post-Match Thoughts: Spurs vs. Fiorentina, Sunday
-Spurs Season Preview, Part I-III, Monday-Wednesday

Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy.
