Hope everyone is enjoying their last minute gift shopping sprees and time off for the holidays. Let's jump right into the links.

Club News

-In a story that caught me by surprise, centerback Jonathan Woodgate has made a breakthrough in his chronic groin injury (insert jokes here). Woody is currently beginning a pre-season fitness regime and could make his way back on the 25 man roster by the end of January and could see game action by the end of the season.

-Welsh Jesus is up for the PFA Player of the Month award AGAIN (third month in a row) for the month of December. Following the link will also allow you vote for Bale.

-Rafael Van der Vaart, Jermaine Jenas and Younes Kaboul are all fit for Sunday's Boxing Day match versus Aston Villa. Ledley King has trained this week but is unlikely to play. William Gallas will undergo a fitness test before the match.

-VdV is calling for the squad to turn in top performances against EPL teams languishing at the bottom of the table and make a push for a top four spot.

-Harry is still feeling extremely confident about our Champions League knockout round opponent AC Milan.

-Winger Andros Townsend has come back to Spurs early from his loan to Ipswich Town (16 appearances, 1 goal).

Transfer Talk

-As if we needed more to worry about with the possible poaching of Gareth Bale, our London neighbors Chelsea are apparently prepping a bid for Luka Modric. Manager Carlo Ancelotti is denying a bid. Welcome to Transfer Window double talk 101.

-Carrying on from last week, Fulham is pretty keen on David Bentley. With the amount of clubs needing a midfield spark, I'd be shocked if Bentley is still around in February.

-The Robbie Keane to West Ham talks have fallen through. Not only was Keane wanting his large wages kept, but also asking for a seven figure bonus if the Hammers stayed up in the EPL. Good one Robbie.

-Often injuried midfielder Jamie O'Hara may or may not be loaned to West Ham.

-A possible transfer target could be Turkish international/Fenerbahce forward Semih Senturk. I'm not very familiar with Senturk, so if anyone knows anything about this guy please share.

-The Guardian is naming some interesting options for Spurs during the transfer window. The only name that I'm interested in is Glen Johnson, which could help solidify the right back position and free up some space on the squad with Alan Hutton moving elsewhere.

What are your transfer window hopes and dreams? Who needs to be sold from the squad? Excited that Woodgate is back training again?

PS: I'd like to wish all the followers and readers of CFC a happy holiday! Enjoy it.
