Welcome to our super duper awesome live coverage of the English Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United! I'm really excited about this match, probably because I'm perfectly willing to accept any outcome, which is really rare.
See, this is kind of a no-lose situation. If we lose to Man United, it's no big deal. If we beat Man United, it could be a jumping off point towards a title run. It will give us the confidence to smack A.C. Milan in Champions League. But yeah, if we lose? No big.
Both lineups are looking pretty orthodox. Looking at Manchester United's lineup, it's not clear if it's going to look more like a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 variation, but we'll be able to figure it out quickly based on the way Wayne Rooney and Ryan Giggs play. I'm guessing 4-4-2 for now, because that's what the personnel seems to indicate, but Alex Ferguson has a tendency to play guys in different positions and isn't afraid of going asymmetrical. There's no speculation surrounding Spurs, though. We look like Spurs.
Manchester United lineup (4-4-2): Van Der Sar ; Evra, Vidic, Ferdinand, Rafael ; Giggs, Fletcher, Carrick, Nani ; Rooney, Berbatov
Tottenham Hotspur lineup (4-4-1-1): Gomes ; Assou-Ekotto, Dawson, Gallas, Hutton ; Bale, Modric, Palacios, Lennon ; van der Vaart ; Crouch
An unfortunate no-start from my man Chicharito, aka Javier Hernandez. Oh well. Crouchy starts having his nachos at 11 am ET on Fox Soccer Channel in the United States.
