English Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur Vs. Newcastle United: Live Match Thread

Oh boy. It looks like old 'Arry has lost his marbles. I guess I'm going to calm myself down and take a wait and see approach, but this lineup is...interesting. Let's just get to it.

Tottenham Hotspur lineup (4-4-1-1): Cudicini / Bale, Gallas, Dawson, Hutton / Pienaar, Modric, Jenas, Lennon / van der Vaart / Defoe

Newcastle United lineup (4-4-2): Harper ; Enrique, Williamson, Coloccini, Simpson ; Jonas, Barton, Nolan, Guthrie ; Best, Ameobi

Yep, that's Gareth Bale getting a start at left back. And, despite wanting to embark on that little adventure, Harry Redknapp has opted to select Jermaine Jenas over Wilson Palacios in midfield. What is this I don't even.

Really, I have no words, but if I don't hit 150 the bosses are going to yell at me, so I've got to find some. I'm pretty stunned, and I'm hoping for the best. I'm happy to see Steven Pienaar make his debut, but I honestly would have rather seen it come in place of Aaron Lennon than in place of Benoit Assou-Ekotto, moving Bale to left back. I'm just really opposed to moving the best left winger in England to left back. Especially since every time he plays left back, he makes silly defensive errors.

I know this isn't Newcastle's best team, but I feel like this game has disaster written all over it. I can't help but think that this team doesn't pass the smell test. It's the classic Spurs trap game. Crap. Crap crap crap.

Okay, calming down. Wait and see. Wait and see. You can do it. Reserve judgment. Harry might be a bloody genius. Chill the f out.

Kickoff is at 10 am ET.
