Welcome to the first links section of the new year. Since the transfer window is open, the links will be transfer heavy. Lets go!

Team News

This Sunday is our third round FA Cup matchup against Charlton. Kick off is 8:30 am Eastern.

Leaving

-Right back Kyle Walker will be joining regulation threatened Aston Villa on loan for the rest of the season.

-Speaking of right backs, Adam Smith's loan to Bournemouth has been extended.

-David Bentley suitors are lining up, with Newcastle United entering the fray with either a loan through the end of the season or an outright purchase.

-Birmingham have jumped out as the front runner for Robbie Keane, with a £7 million transfer fee agreed on. However, the Blues are denying a deal is close.

-The Welsh Jesus exodus rumors have a host of Serie A teams lining up for the winger.

Joining?

-A new name has popped up in rumor circles: Ajax's Luis Suarez. Color me interested.

-The Andy Carroll to Spurs rumors will not die. The latest is throwing three excess players from Spurs up to the Toon in exchange for the young striker.

-Ok, so last week I thought the whole Becks to Spurs rumors were hogwash, but I was very wrong (I've had to wade through numerous Beckham stories for these links).

A hold up for the possible short term loan is the insane contract Becks signed with the LA Galaxy. Even though he was quite happy for this loan, Harry is now somewhat pessimistic about the deal actually happening now. The Telegraph's Alan Hansen has a good piece about the possible impact Becks would have at White Hart Lane.

How are we feeling about the transfer window so far? Anything catching your eye?
