Tottenham Hotspur News: Emmanuel Adebayor In Race To Be Fit For Newcastle United Match

Tottenham Hotspur just can't seem to stay healthy. Already this week we've had news about Tom Huddlestone's ankle surgery, a setback for Michael Dawson and now Emmanual Adebayor is only 50-50 for Spurs' upcoming match against Newcastle United due to a hamstring strain the striker suffered in a Tottenham's 2-1 victory over Arsenal in the North London Derby.

Given the club's form now and that at the start of the season it's hard to see any injury being much worse for the squads chances than this one. Without the Togolese frontman Tottenham managed one goal in two games and given Newcastle's performance thus far this season (unbeaten in seven matches) it's hard to imagine a Spurs side that doesn't feature Adebyaor offering much resistance.

Should Adebayor be unable to go it seems fairly likely that Harry Redknapp will opt to play Rafael Van der Vart in his preferred central role sitting just behind Jermain Defoe. I wouldn't be surprised to see a midfield of Gareth Bale, Scott Parker, Sandro, and Luka Modric. Aaron Lennon played 45 minutes in a friendly last week so he may be getting close to full fitness, but news about that has been sparse to say the least.

What do you think of our chances against Newcastle without Adebayor? Will he be able to go or will Harry be more cautious with him? How would you line up for this match?
