Good news for Tottenham Hotspur fans this morning. The team returned from the international break largely unscathed. Speaking at a press conference this morning, first team coach Joe Jordan shed a little light on Spurs' most important injury situation, that of Rafael van der Vaart.
Rafa trained on Wednesday and from what the medical team are saying he's at 75 per cent. That's good, but we have to get him from 75 per cent to 100 per cent, we'll have to take it day-to-day and we do have a few days with the game on Monday. He's got a chance, but it is important that there is no recurrence of the injury.
The rest of the Tottenham internationals appear to be in good shape. Luka Modric played two tough Euro 2012 playoffs, but should be good to go on Monday against Aston Villa. Additionally, Vedran Corluka has returned to fitness. Charlie played in the first leg of Croatia's playoff tie with Turkey scoring a goal and assisting on another.
Niko Kranjcar, Danny Rose, Michael Dawson, and Tom Huddlestone all remain out.
