Tottenham Hotspur Team News: Roman Pavlyuchenko Out, A Bunch Of Decent Fringe Players In

We need eleventy goals from this man.
We need eleventy goals from this man.

Tottenham Hotspur was kind enough to go and drop the team news on us, letting us know who is fit and who is not for the UEFA Europa League match against Shamrock Rovers. Sometimes they are bad at doing this. For instance, the time the team news post said that Danny Rose was out with a long-term injury, then he started. So this post could be meaningless!

Niko Kranjcar is back from injury and could play. Roman Pavlyuchenko is still out, while Ledley King is obviously not going to be risked in a Europa League match even if he is fit. Michael Dawson and Tom Huddlestone are still out with long-term injuries and are obviously unavailable to play.

Luka Modric, Scott Parker and Emmanuel Adebayor have been left in London. Rafael van der Vaart is not eligible to play in this game. Based on all this info, you should have a decent idea of who's playing. Here's Harry Redknapp telling us at least some of the players we're going to see.

"I was doing a little bit of work with them this morning and there's seven internationals in there...Defoe is here, Gio Dos Santos, Benoit Assou-Ekotto, Kaboul, Pienaar, Niko, Sandro, they will all play. Danny Rose is an England Under-21 international."

Here's to hoping that Gio plays behind the effing striker instead of on the wing where he is crap.
