Tottenham Hotspur Are The Walking Wounded

While it looks like Gareth Bale is going to be ready to go for the Real Madrid match while Aaron Lennon apparently just had a case of the England Flu, our injury crisis in defense is a very real thing. Ledley King's career could very well be over at this point, Jonathan Woodgate can't get fit, Younes Kaboul has a nagging injury, and William Gallas has apparently gone and messed himself up as well. This leaves us with two fit central defenders, Sebastien Bassong and Michael Dawson. We could recall Steven Caulker...but he's went and messed himself up too, and he's now out for the season. Luka is okay, and flying Luka pic is unrelated.

This presents a very real problem for the match against Real Madrid, but just as much of a problem for the match against Wigan. Of course, despite our results lately and the result at the beginning of the season against Wigan, we're favorites to get three points this weekend. Even with crappy central defenders. But if one of the two guys in that spot goes down, oh boy. Ronaldo hat trick, here we come.
