Cristiano Ronaldo Injured, To Miss Real Madrid's Match Against Tottenham Hotspur In UEFA Champions League

By all accounts, this is no April Fools joke. It looks like Cristiano Ronaldo will miss out on Real Madrid's UEFA Champions League clash with Tottenham Hotspur, due to injury. Almost no one is giving Tottenham a chance to keep the tie competitive if Aaron Lennon and Gareth Bale aren't fit to start mid-week, but Ronaldo's absence would make a good result much more plausible. Plus, it sounds like Lennon is fine and that he just had a case of the England Flu.

The thought of Ronaldo cutting inside from a wide position and running at our central defenders has been haunting my dreams for an extended period of time now. While I never like to see players injured, I'm hardly going to be upset about Ronaldo missing a match against Spurs. It's incredible luck, too, since Ronaldo's basically been an iron man over the course of his career, save for one long-term injury since moving to Madrid.
