YAAAAAAY! Tottenham Hotspur will have the services of Gareth Bale available to them when they face Real Madrid on Tuesday, as the left winger appears to be fit after sustaining a hamstring injury. There was some interesting back and forth between Wales manager Gary Speed and Spurs manager Harry Redknapp about where Bale actually picked up the injury in the first place, but all of that is behind us. He's fit to play tomorrow in the Champions League, and that's all that matters.
Aaron Lennon should be fit, but is reportedly not 100%, while Steven Pienaar is out injured. So yeah, we needed Bale. Sergio Ramos, the Real Madrid right back, has a tendency to cheat on defense when he bombs up the pitch, so this could be something Spurs could exploit on Tuesday. In fact, Ramos not playing defense is exactly what lead to Sporting Gijon's goal that sealed their massive 1-0 upset of Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, ending Jose Mourinho's 150 game personal home undefeated streak. It goes without saying that Bale will be a major key to Tuesday's game.
