Tottenham Hotspur Transfer Rumors: Harry Redknapp Interested In Lille's Gervinho, Eden Hazard

According to a story that is quite possibly total rubbish, Harry Redknapp attended the Coupe de France final last weekend, and he is keen to sign LOSC Lille's Gervinho and Eden Hazard. I would also love for Tottenham Hotspur to sign those two players, but there are a few things that are both stated in the article and omitted from the article that make me thing this is complete and total nonsense.

1. Eden Hazard and Gervinho are hardly "strikers" as 'Arry often uses strikers. They play on either side of a central striker in a 4-3-3, where Hazard is more of a playmaking wide player and Gervinho is excellent at cutting in and scoring, as well as setting up his teammates.

2. These two players are being pursued by the biggest clubs in the world. The chances that Tottenham has the money and stature in the world of football to pry either of these players away from Lille and the other teams trying to sign them is minimal. Lille are guaranteed Champions League football next season. There's no reason for them to leave for anything less.

If Tottenham Hotspur were in Champions League, played 4-3-3, and had boatloads of money, I would say that this was a pretty good rumor! Try again, tabloids.
