Tottenham Hotspur are about to lose Wilson Palacios to Napoli, and I am frustrated.
Not with Palacios, of course. I don't mind that he's seeking a transfer. He had a couple of bad games in September, Harry benched him, and that was all she wrote. He never got back into form. It's the same reason Gio and Pav have generally done f-all for us too. So, I don't blame him at all.
No, I'm frustrated with Harry Redknapp for wanting to sell a quality player because he was poor for one year, especially when it was half Harry's doing. I'm also frustrated with Daniel Levy for caving on his policy of not taking a loss on players in this case. Really, Daniel? This is your exception? The player that we have to ditch so much that you'll just take 75 cents on the dollar?
Palacios says that he awaits news of his future. I assume this means him and his agent have been given permission to speak to Napoli and have some sort of tentative agreement with the club, pending us agreeing a fee. If Napoli give us £12m or more for him...whatever. I'll get over it. If it's the reported £7m, I'd really like to know what the hell Levy and Redknapp are thinking.
