Tottenham Hotspur Preseason, Spurs Vs. Orlando Pirates: Lineups And Live Match Thread

As Kevin said, it feels like we're back in the Champions League. I enjoy Tuesday afternoon (or evening, depending on your location) football if only because it gives me an excuse to do even less at work than I already do. Tottenham Hotspur continue the Vodacom Challenge today against the Orlando Pirates.

Tottenham Hotspur Line-up: Friedel; Naughton, Kaboul, Khumalo, Rose; Bentley, Modric, Palacios, Bale; Van der Vaart, Defoe

Subs: Gomes, Corluka, Dawson, Walker, Jenas, Kranjcar, Lennon, Keane, Pavlyuchenko.

Brad Friedel makes his first ever appearance in a Spurs shirt and we get a glimpse of two of our promising young fullbacks in Kyle Naughton and Danny Rose. For some reason, David Bentley is again given a runout and it would appear as though Jermaine Defoe is playing as the lone striker both of which are rather puzzling.

Perhaps the biggest news is that Luka Modric will be in the line-up. It will be interesting to see how involved the Croatian is. If he's disinterested it could not bode well for Spurs going forward. What I want to see from this game is a lively Modric and a couple of goals from someone. Please somebody score!
