Tottenham Hotspur News & Rumors: Norwich Interested In Naughton

Newly-promoted Norwich City and manager Paul Lambert are believed to be interested in acquiring Tottenham Hotspur fullback Kyle Naughton on season-long loan. The 22 year-old impressed while on loan in the Championship with Leicester City, so much so that he made the PFA Championship Team of they Year and was voted as Leicester's Young Player of the Year.

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has an abundance of options at right back, though the quality of those options is certainly debatable, and Spurs seem more than willing to loan him out to the Canaries in order to get some experience at the Premier League level. Other clubs that have been linked with Naughton this offseason include Aston Villa, Queens Park Rangers, and Leicester.

This seems like it would be a good move for Naughton. It's important for young players to be playing first-team football and he won't be seeing much if any of that at Tottenham Hotspur, even with the number of games the Club will be playing. A loan to a Premiership side would be ideal as it will tell us if Naughton has the ability to handle the step-up in class.
