Happy Friday my fellow yiddos. Not a ton of news to report on today in the world of Spurs, but don't worry, it's the weekend and that means another friendly is right around the corner. You know the routine, hit the beer store, and stock up on crisps. I'd suggest kettle cooked cheddar cheee and horseradish chips from Herrs.

And now the extremly limited "news"

Pienaar Hopes To Be Fit For Saturday-Sowetan

It's a very light day in the world of Spurs news, But it's good to hear that Steve "Defensive Winger" Pienaar is nearing full fitness. It would be great for him to be able to play in his home country.

The Fighting Cock Podcast-Dear Mr Levy

Our friend at Dear Mr Levy, Spooky23 has a new podcast coming soon. I for one am delighted by this news.  Perhaps there can be a crossover podcast with our own Wheeler Dealer Radio?

What's happening around SB Nation after the jump

Barcelona Need Cesc Faregas-SB Nation Soccer

I generally do not like to say bad things about my fellow SB Nation writers. Every one is an intelligent, thoughtfull person, who has a wide variety of opinions and they are all important. But this is just ridiculous! Barcelona "need" Cesc Fabregas? They "need" to pay 35 million euros or whatever it is for a player who will sit on the bench? Are you kidding me? Look at all the stats you like, flimsy though they are, Xavi, Iniesta, and if they get injured they still have Mascherano, that all I need in a dream midfield. Spending 35 million on any player is risky already, spending that much on a player that can't crack your starting 11 is the fiscal equivalent of burning money and dancing naked around the flames. The end.

Brek Shea Is Good At Football-SB Nation Soccer

I have never really been impressed by Brek Shea when I have seen him play, he just strikes me as a good MLS player. Then this happened.

Alex Sanchez Signs With Barcelona-Barca Blaugranes

The final fee is about 26 million euros with a further 11 million or so for further incentives. Where do Barca get all this money if they are also committed to sign Fabregas? Oh, they have a massive stadium. I am starting to see Dan Levy's point.
