When it comes to Spurs transfer rumors, my optimism is completely shot. I'm currently totally unwilling to listen when Harry Redknapp says that Tottenham Hotspur are going to purchase a couple of key players this summer to improve the team, compete for Champions League football, and get Luka Modric to shut his big fat mouth. Still, this whole Mirko Vucinic thing keeps looking more and more plausible and he's a great fit, so I can't help but have a little tiny smidge of hope.
If you didn't see, Roma "bought" Bojan Krkic from Barcelona yesterday. The terms of the deal are ridiculous - Roma pays 12 million Euros now and Barcelona have to pay 13 million to get him back in two years. If Roma want to keep Bojan, they have to pay Barca somewhere in the neighborhood of an absolutely absurd amount of money, taking his final transfer fee to holy crap it's only Bojan Krkic.
This, combined with the fact that Vucinic was kind of on the next train out of town anyway, has made him super available. Rumor has it that Juventus is his other suitor. Due to the talent that Juventus has on their roster everywhere but striker, it would be a good move for him.
We're better though, goddamnit. Why? Because I say so, that's why. Don't sass me. What's that you say? Juventus are the most well-supported team in Italy and one of the giants of world football, despite their recent misfortunes? Well I say you have a smelly face.
I don't actually know if we have £15 million to spend and neither do you, but 'Arry sure is talking big and PSG just made a formal £9 million bid for Adel Taarabt, so that will help.
Jesus we need a striker.
