Good Monday morning readers, friends, and most importantly people who are still pissed at Ryan Rosenblatt. It's a new week so let's let bygones be bygones and get on with our usual Monday activities; lying to your coworkers about your weekend activities, making them sound either way cooler or way less cool than they were.
And now the "news"
This is fantastic news. I don't really need to even say it anymore, you all know that #weneedastriker. And while Emmanuel Adebayor is a fine striker, but he is also a very expensive one, and kind of a dick. He would cost a ton to buy outright and he would cost more than we are willing to pay even our best players in wages. For these reasons it is pretty clear that he isn't a sound investment. However It would be pretty easy to get him on loan. Manchester City has a unbelievable large squad and they have to loan out a larger number of high quality players to meet squad limits. It's hard to do that, not many teams can cover those wages they pay. I mean Craig Bellamy played in the championship last season! What does that mean? It means that a loan deal with Man City might involve them paying a large portion of his wages, maybe enough to get him to White Hart Lane for this season. And that would be awesome.
Oh Roman, you are getting closer.
Probably the best move for the young man. He wasn't going to get games anywhere else.
The picture caption says it all "Adebayor scoring one of his many goals against Spurs". Have I mentioned that I really don't Like Adebayor?
Alex Morgan is something isn't she? Your love letters can be sent here.
What's happening around SB Nation after the jump
Yawn. Call me when Sepp Blatter resigns.
I don't know if you've heard, but Diego Forlan is really good at football. Just thought I'd drop some knowledge on you.
The phrase "cut losses" comes to mind. Just a suggestion but I bet someone in Italy would be interested in him for a nice veal and a hunk of half decent cheese.
