Happy hump day friends, this week is just flying by isn't it? No? Maybe it's just me. Whatever, major things in the news today so lets skip the chit chat and pleasantries.
And now the "news"
Townsend Open To Millwall Loan-Sky Sports
Townsend made 11 appearances for Millwall last season and he did ok, scoring twice. A move away is his best chance of seeing anything but reserve football this season. The good news is that he has options with Leicester also looking at him.
Spurs Line Up 13 Million Pound Bid For Vucinic-Daily Mail
United is making a bid too. So let's just call this what it is. Another player we are priced out of buying. Then again I don't think that this guy is any better than what we have now. I am counting this as money saved.
Barcelona Set To Bid For Leandro-Inside Football
Really Barca, really? Villa, Messi, Sanchez, Pedro, Xavi, Iniesta, do you really need this guy too? I used to watch El Classico and cheer for Barca because Madrid were the "evil empire". No more! They just made my list of teams with too much talent to reasonably justify along with Manchester City and Real Madrid. Kick rocks Barca. This further goes to show that the international partnerships between other clubs and Spurs are meaningless. Internatconal jerked Levy around on this deal and from what it looks like acted in bad faith. Internacional ALSO ON MY LIST, this is a separate list from the previously described list, It is much longer, it is made up of teams that do things that piss me off.
What's happening around SB Nation after the jump
Brazil FA President Pisses Off An Entire Country-SB Nation Soccer
Really, England are the pirates? Texeira seems to think that the English FA is trying to convince FIFA that Brazil is not ready to host the 2014 World Cup, and are pulling to get the location switched to England. Now perhaps you have noticed, although I don't know why you would, I write the Hoddle Of Coffee every day. To compile what you see here I use a wide ranging number of source sites. I spend a lot of time on the internet looking at soccer sites both mainstream (Sky Sports) and completely unheard of (Footy Bunker). I think that if anyone who wasn't involved in any of these alleged plots would have heard about it, it would be me. Let me tell you, this is the first time any such rumor is seeing the light of day. So I hear by declare this statement to be complete bullshit.
Oh Look, Another Match Fixing Scandal-SB Nation Soccer
This time it's in Serie B, all of the usual details are there. By now we all know the drill, bigger clubs orchestrating it, etc etc blah blah blah.
Aguero Set To Sign With City-Bitter And Blue
In an unrelated story Emmanuel Adebayor put his Manchester area house on the market for a cut rate price a few minutes ago...weird.
