Stoke City continue to look to strengthen their squad in advance of the Premier League season. The Potters have apparently made a double bid for Tottenham Hotspur striker Peter Crouch and midfielder Wilson Palacios. The two clubs have been in negotiations for quite some time for the two players, but this may be Stoke's final approach. Chairman Peter Coates said,
We've made our last bid. The ball is in their court. We shall not be negotiating from where we are.
There has been no word on what the potential fees for the players may be, but I doubt we'll be seeing more than £10 million for either of them. I like this move for both clubs, despite my love of Crouch. The move would give Stoke the reinforcements they need to push some of the other mid-table clubs, whereas the sale of these two players would, hopefully, allow Tottenham Hotspur to actually purchase some players.
So, what say you Spurs fans? How do you feel about these potential moves? What fee would make you feel better about this?
