The legendary Daily Fail is reporting that Emmanuel Adebayor to Tottenham Hotspur is a done deal. Like for real for real done. Not like, is close to completion, but that it's like a set in stone thing. A REAL THING.

Now, just because the Daily Fail reports something doesn't mean that it's patently false. If you throw shit at a wall 30 times a day for four months, eventually some of said shit is going to stick to said wall. I'm actually pretty confident that Spurs are negotiating with Manchester City about taking Adebayor on loan, and I don't think that bringing him in means we won't sign another striker. 

If someone held a gun to my head and asked me if Adebayor will be a Spurs player on September 1, I would blurt out yes. That doesn't mean I'm anywhere near as convinced as the bloke who quickly made this up when his boss yelled at him for watching Sopranos DVDs instead of doing his job.
