According to the headline of this Sky Sports article, Mauro Zarate can leave Lazio. Based on the quotes for the article, there is absolutely nothing definitive that the club will let him leave. Thanks, Sky! However, this is a Tottenham Hotspur blog, and our purpose is not to rip on Sky Sports.

He is not a true No. 9 and he's almost certainly not going to play as a lone striker. He's not like Bryan Ruiz, where his best position is debatable.
