Well this is certainly interesting. First of all, if you've never been here before, this is your live match thread for the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United. We had one of these last week for the Hearts game, like we have for every game, and it got 590 comments. For a site that requires registration before commenting, I think that's pretty freaking sweet. Stick around during the game and chat with your fellow fans. Man United fans are welcome and we will not troll you. Here are your lineups, with explanations afterwards.
Manchester United lineup (4-4-1-1): De Gea; Smalling, Jones, Evans, Evra; Nani, Cleverley, Anderson, Young; Rooney; Welbeck
Subs from: Lindegaard, Giggs, Fabio, Carrick, Park, Berbatov, Hernandez
Tottenham Hotspur lineup (4-4-1-1): Friedel, Walker, Dawson, Kaboul, Assou-Ekotto, Lennon, Livermore, Kranjcar, Bale, Van der Vaart, Defoe
Subs from: Gomes, Bassong, Corluka, Huddlestone, Jenas, Townsend, Pavlyuchenko
Thoughts: Gomes dropped for Friedel? Huddlestone not fit? Walker over Corluka? Seriously displeased with all three of these developments. Add in the fact that Patrice Evra will start as rumored and I am not a happy camper. I am a bit surprised to see Michael Carrick out of the team, though, and I do not think that Wayne Rooney will play higher than Welbeck; he'll go back to the No. 10 role.
