Happy Friday Spursland. So we got a striker. Things are looking up. And on top of that the transfer window is about to close, so you know we are about to sign like seven new players in a three minute span. Now if only we could get a result this Sunday, that would make it a great week, so of course that won't happen. We are Spurs.
And now the "news"
Harry Still Wants More Players-Sky Sports
When asked about Joe Cole, Harry somehow avoided to use the (made up) word "triffic". That's what I call progress, people.
"Luka Modric Will Stay" Says Man With No Say In That Decision-The Guardian
Harry claims that the matter is now finished. Which is the same thing that has been said after each installment of this saga so you just know that it isn't really over. Six more days until we can finally shut up about this. Until Modric is inevitably sold for an inflated price in January.
Daniel Levy Gets To Continue His Temper Tantrum-Building Design
I'd honestly like to know what the commentariat finds more depressing, that the Modric situation hasn't been settled yet or that the team is still soldiering on in the face of all logic in their quest for the Olympic Stadium rights? Sound off in the comments section.
What's happening around SB Nation after the jump
La Liga Strike Ends-SB Nation Soccer
Great news all around. The players can finally get back to work and the players who are owed back pay will get it. Athletes get a lot of bad press about being overpaid and maybe they are (how you doing Samuel Eto'o) but when someone signs a contract and performs the services specified, it's the obligation of the club to pay them. Glad to see the fatcats being held to their word.
Champions League Group Stage Draw-SB Nation Soccer
Nothing really dramatic this year is there? No real drama either, all the groups seem pretty well rounded. I'll begin caring about this tournament when the games actually start.
Klinsman Announces USMNT Squad For Upcoming Friendlies-SB Nation Soccer
Kyle Beckerman and his hair will continue to grace the national team, so there is that to look forward to.
Have You Seen The New SB Nation Iphone App?-SB Nation Soccer
While I haven't be able to see it in action yet, I have heard nothing but good things about it. And it's free, so just download it already, you don't need to conserve space on that little entertainment brick you are carriying around for more Angry Birds. SB Nation > Angry Birds.
