Nope, I'm not above Amy Winehouse jokes on this blog. As most of you probably know, we were rumored to be offering Jake Livermore on loan to West Ham United to help soften the blow of them selling Scott Parker, their best central midfield player. Most of us thought that the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder would relish the opportunity to start for a promotion contender in the Championship, since he has not yet played regular football at that level. Apparently, we were wrong.

It looks like Jake Livermore wants to fight for his place at Tottenham Hotspur and is unwilling to go out on loan. It's hard to blame him, as he's gone out on loan a whopping SIX times in his career, and I admire his confidence and determination. However, we all know that Livermore is not comparable to Tom Huddlestone or Luka Modric and that he will be behind Sandro and Scott Parker. He's probably behind Jermaine Jenas as well. If he wants to fight for his place, it's going to be one hell of a fight.
