Hold everything! While it had seemed like if Peter Crouch was going anywhere he would be joining Stoke City it now appears that there is another competitor for the Tottenham Hotspur striker's services. Sunderland manager Steve Bruce has been looking to add some firepower to his squad for quite some time and it would appear that he views Crouch as just the man the Black Cats need.
Several sources have reported that Sunderland have actually made a £10 million bid to bring Crouch to the Stadium of Light. I would certainly be disappointed to see Crouch leave, especially if Tottenham don't have a replacement already lined up. The move would leave the club with only three strikers and no true back-up to Emmanuel Adebayor.
Though nothing was ever disclosed, it's believed that Spurs paid £10 million for Crouch back in 2009 so to break even on the 30 year-old would be quite an accomplishment. I think Crouch still can do a job for Spurs, but I would like for the Club to have £10 million to spend too.
What are your thoughts? £10 million is a fair price, right? Do you want Crouch to go? If we let him go do you think we'll bring in a replacement before the window closes?
