Okay, so not just "some guy on twitter." The guy I refer to is Ben Smith of The Times. Ben Smith is a highly respected journalist and The Times is a highly respected newspaper, so I think there's a reasonable chance that this is not a giant load of garbage and that he has some decent information about players who are being targeted. First of all, here's the tweet in question.
#LFC still working hard to add a forward, tomorrow will be very busy. #CFC #AFC and #THFC will all spend
We all know that Arsenal will make a couple of signings tomorrow and Chelsea have been heavily linked to whichever one of the Uruguayan Pereiras is the left sided one (I am bad with names!), but Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur? Well, color me skeptical. Liverpool have already spent a whole boatload of money, while Tottenham don't have a whole lot available to spend. Though, Peter Crouch and Wilson Palacios are about to head out the door for a combined £18m.
What do you think, Spurs fans? Who do you want us to get tomorrow? Who's realistic? We know we'll be getting Scott Parker in and I wouldn't be surprised if we locked up Leandro Damiao, but beyond those two? I'll believe it when the club announces it.
