Happy Thursday Spursland! Deadline day has come and gone and as usual it held some surprises and a lot of activities all around. in the interest of not rehashing the excellent coverage the CFC crew did yesterday today's Hoddle will be a special edition, coverage of all the other big moves that were made yesterday that were not Spurs related. Hopefully everyone likes it. tomorrow is back to regular Spurs coverage in the Hoddle.
And now the "news"
Chelsea Sign Raul Meireles Last minute-We Ain't Got No History
Chelsea made this great signing for 12 million pounds. It adds much needed depth to their midfield, and has the added value of not costing £40 million. Chelsea making rational business decisions, weird.
Bellamy Returns To Liverpool-Bitter And Blue
Yeah, because it worked out so well the last time. That makes sense.
Everton Sign Real Madrid Youngster For Free-Managing Madrid
While nobody at Madrid is sad to see him go, this is just ridiculous. Real bought him for £14 million, and while he has had a few discipline issues, how do you GIVE him away?

Benayoun To Arsenal Done-The Short Fuse
I can't really fault Arsenal for this move, Yossi is better than what they had before, but he is in no way, shape, or form anywhere near as good as Fabregas or Nasri. Arsenal still haven't made up enough ground to be in the hunt for the top four. Suck it, scum.
Everything You Could Possibly Want To Know About Everton's Deadline Day-Royal Blue Mersey
The jury is still out on if they had a good day or a bad day, only time will tell. But they made moves and you can't fault them for that.
N'Gog Finally Signs For Bolton-Lion of Vienna Suite
This was Blackburn's version of the Luka Modric drama...sort of. This was similarly drawn out, and went down to the wire. Seems like a solid pick up but definitely not a game changer.
Wright-Philips Signs For QPR-Bitter And Blue
I love this move. I always thought that Shaun Wright-Philips was a great player that suffered from people expecting way too much from him. I expect him to shine at QPR, but then again my 8 year old cousin could shine for that team.
I hope you all enjoyed deadline day as much as I did, COYS
