Could it be? Are Tottenham Hotspur in good form and getting healthy? Surely we'll suffer some crippling injuries and even more crippling losses in the coming weeks, but let's enjoy this while it lasts! After racking up two straight wins in the league, Spurs head to the Brittania Stadium to take on Stoke City in the Carling Cup Third Round this week. According to the club, both Sandro and William Gallas could return to action for the game. Neither player has played so far this season.
The Gallas news is fantastic considering our current situation in the center of defense. Younes Kaboul looks solid and Ledley King was surprisingly on the pace on Sunday, but the CFC can't play more than once per week. Michael Dawson is out and Sebastien Bassong is a perpetual question mark. Getting Gallas back to full fitness is massive for the side.
As for Sandro, we're lucky that we can ease him back into the team. Scott Parker is in absolutely stellar form, while Jake Livermore has proved that he is at least a competent bench option. We can take it easy with getting Sandro back to full fitness and making sure his knee is completely healed.
At present, my guess is that we see Gallas in the starting lineup and Sandro on the bench for a very brief run-out against Stoke, but we'll have to wait and see.
