Wigan Athletic Vs. Tottenham Hotspur, 2011 Premier League: Lineups And Live Match Thread

Happy Spursday, Spursland! After that unfortunate little spell in the Carling Cup, Tottenham Hotspur return to the English Premier League to take on Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium. As all of you know, we played like complete and total crap in this fixture last season. We need to do a whole lot better. This really is a game where we need to be getting three points if we want to finish in the top four at the end of the season. This is your live match thread, and here are your lineups.

Tottenham Hotspur lineup (4-4-1-1): Friedel; Assou-Ekotto, King, Kaboul, Walker; Bale, Sandro, Parker, Modric; van der Vaart; Adebayor

Wigan Athletic lineup (4-5-1): Al Habsi; Gohouri, Caldwell, Figueroa, Van Aanholt; Diame, Watson, McCarthy, Moses, Gomez; Di Santo

I'm not sure how I feel about dropping an in-form Defoe, but perhaps Harry felt like he needed a player who was going to play in a deeper position and create against Wigan's five-man midfield. Luka Modric will probably be playing on the right.

You can catch this game on in the USA. If you choose alternative means to watch the game, please discuss those means privately. Feel free to post your email and twitter account in the comments so people can contact you about these matters.
