Happy Monday Spursland. No game over the weekend, which sucked. There really should be a limit on weekends without games during the season. If you are going to have a week free of games it should be limited to Thanksgiving (American not the weird Canadian one), Christmas and Easter. That's it, some of us have lives, most of us don't and the rest of you should be considerate of that.
And now the "News"
Gio "Upset" With Spurs-Sky Sports
Shocking! Shocking I say! After 10 appearances since 2008 he is "upset". All you single guys out there in internetland, aim to find a girlfriend as understanding as Dos Santos. After all he has put up with from Harry he could walk into the press room pull down his pants and defecate in protest and some people - not all but a significant minority - would say it was justified. If Gio doesn't get a look while VDV is out then I would advise that he just retire. He isn't going to be playing anyway.

Not directly Spurs related but it does spill some light onto the activities of our shadowy Caribbean overlord. Spoiler alert: he is pissing everyone off.
Carlos Tevez Ate All The Pies-Deadspin
I had been wondering where the hell Tevez had been since mid summer. Also I don't know what this eating all the pies saying entails, it's just this weeks experiment in "Andy tries and fails to use English slang"

Jurgen Klinsman Getting A Pass Bob Bradly Never Would Have-Sb Nation Soccer
I didn't get to see the Costa Rica Game, I just started a new "day job" that takes most of the evening up. But I do follow Kevin McCauley on Twitter, so I know that Robbie Rogers is crap and that the US didn't look that good. But before we all scream for his head, lets bear this in mind, that this game did not matter. Neither did the one before that. What Jurgen is doing is trying different players in different roles. He knows there is talent in the US, he is taking advantage of all these meaningless games to test out who plays well where before say the World Cup, something we all hated that Bob Bradley never did. Speaking of meaningless games...
What's The Point Of International Football?-SB Nation Soccer
Calum Mechie makes some significant observations about the current international game and asks some important questions about it going forward. He also calls Messi "the best of all time", and keep in mind that Messi is still only 24. So there is that to take umbridge with.
