Tuesday Morning Hoddle Of Coffee: Tottenham Hotspur News And Links For September 5, 2011

Happy Tuesday Spursland! I am happy to announce that The Hoddle Of Coffee is now a Daily Mail free zone. Now, we all know that the reporting in that paper sucks, but yesterday it crossed a serious line with the story about how former Spurs winger Steed Malbranque was giving up the game to care for his cancer stricken son. Turns out Steed doesn't have a son. Not cool Daily Mail, not cool. I may be crass, I may be impolitic, but making up stories about kids with cancer is where we draw the line. Good day to you sir!

And now the "news"

Yes the reporting on Fans FC is just as bad as the Daily Mail, but they didn't make up stories about kids with cancer so they get to stay.

What's happening around SB Nation after the jump

Manchester City CEO Claims He Was Hacked When He Insulted Cancer Victim-SB Nation Soccer

With as much hacking that goes on today I am inclined to give the man the benefit of the doubt. You may not think that this type of a thing is plausible or very rampant, but I work with high school kids, let me assure you it's very easy to do and it happens all the time. Teenagers suck like that.

Serie A Strike Finally Over-SB Nation Soccer

Finally I can get my weekly dose of flopping, overly cautious games that will be decided by either a single goal or whichever major club paid someone off. Frankly I am amazed I survived without it. Editor's note: Fuck off theroosevelts. Douche.

A Neymar Update-Managing Madrid

It's Barca, it's Madrid. Barca! Madrid! Oh who cares, we know he will cost more than he is worth and that somebody somewhere is getting a big fat payoff. Brazilian football is more corrupt than Turkey and FIFA combined.

Take A Bow Mr. Comolli-Anfield Asylum

Before I even discuss the article, let's just take a moment and think back to the last year of Comolli's Spurs stint. Did anyone think that we would be hearing someone praise his work for a big time club like this? And you know what, he has done a fantastic job at Liverpool. Maybe he paid too much for Lax Bro in Chief Andy Carroll, but they probably made up that money in kit sales alone in the last year.
