Well, we're more than a week into the January transfer window and I'm pretty sure West Bromwich Albion are the only team that has signed or sold anyone (the Baggies brought in Scott Allen from Dundee United). I'm already bored with the lack of transfers. There's not even any good "Player X is in location Y for a medical" rumors. This is starting to get depressing.

The lack of movement in the market, however, has not clogged up the rumor mill though. Harry Redknapp has been going strong of late; denying knowing who Ganso is, claiming he won't sign Jordan Rhodes, and telling everyone that Demba Ba's release clause is really low.

There's been no good rumors regarding departures so far. It actually appears like everyone will be staying. There haven't even been any good Luka Modric or Gareth Bale rumors. No sales probably means no purchases. I'm fine with Tottenham having a quiet window, but I would like SOMETHING to happen.

Juventus Winger Looking For London Move: Milos Krasic has fallen down the pecking order at Juventus and is now said to be considering a move to either Tottenham Hotspur or Chelsea. I haven't seen much of Krasic lately, because he hasn't been playing, but I remember him as a pacy skillful winger. At 6'1" he reminds me much more of Gareth Bale then he does of Aaron Lennon. I think Krasic would be a clear upgrade over Lennon, but at 27, the Serbian winger may not have too many years left at the top. If he can be had for less than £7 million I'd take him.

More Rumors After The Jump

I DO NOT WANT ANY FULHAM PLAYERS: The Moussa Dembele rumors will not die. The Belgian midfielder/striker is much less objectionable to me than a certain other Fulham player who shall remain nameless. This rumor claims Spurs will offer the Cottagers £10 million plus Niko Kranjcar for Dembele. The Belgian is, undoubtedly, a good footballer, but I'm not sure how he would fit in at Spurs. He prefers to play left midfield or striker and he wouldn't be an upgrade at either of those positions. Additionally, I'm not willing to part with Niko in exchange.

Inter Milan Offer Youngster On Loan: When he left Feyenoord for Inter Milan, I doubt Luc Castaignos envisioned he would make such a small impact. The 19 year-old Dutch striker has appeared in only four matches, scoring one goal, and now finds himself facing the prospect of being loaned to England. Tottenham, Everton, and Liverpool seem to be the leading candidates for Castaignos' services. Everton seems to make the most sense to me. He would get much more playing time with the Toffees than he would with Spurs or Seventhpool.

Tottenham Hotspur Eye Defensive Reinforcements: With Gary Cahill moving to Chelsea and a Christopher Samba deal seeming dead in the water, Spurs have turned elsewhere for defensive replacements. Unfortunately, elsewhere appears to be Aston Villa and West Ham. James Tompkins from the Hammers and James Collins from Aston Villas are the new targets. Tompkins could cost approximately £8 million, while Collins would be considerably cheaper at only £3 million. This is incredibly stupid. I do not want either of those players, no matter what the price.

#WeNeedAStriker: I've said on Wheeler Dealer Radio that I think Ligue 1 is set to get raided over the course of the next few transfer windows. Loic Remy is certainly one of those players that could be heading to greener pastures. Some say he could be heading to Tottenham Hotspur for £7 million with Roman Pavlyuchenko going the other way. Remy has never put up terribly prolific goal scoring numbers and as a result I would prefer other strikers like Moussa Sow and Papiss Demba Cisse. I think Remy is similar to Jermain Defoe in that he is a goal poacher. He can also play right wing. The price isn't bad, but I think Spurs could do better.

Player We're Not Being Linked With But Should Be: The recent injury to Sandro and the prolonged absence of Tom Huddlestone has left Tottenham a bit short in the center of midfield, particularly with defensive minded players. Jake Livermore is the only cover available for Scott Parker and while Jake has developed well, I would not feel confident if he had to start a long run of games. Thus, Spurs should turn to Toulouse midfielder Etienne Capoue. He's not quite as good as his teammate Moussa Sissoko, but he's a destroyer in midfield and would be cheaper than Sissoko. Maybe this is over reacting, but I feel like we're only an injury or two away from being in trouble in the center of the park.

Player We're Actually Going To Sign...This Week: I know that Harry Redknapp came out and said that the club won't be signing Huddersfield striker Jordan Rhodes, but we all know that Harry says lots of things and none of them really mean anything. The Scottish international has been in red hot form this season scoring 32 goals in 23 appearances. No, I didn't get that backwards. Now, League One is certainly not the Premier League, but the 21 year-old has played at the Championship level. He would be a great young player to have at Spurs. I think this deal will happen, with Spurs loaning him back to Huddersfield for the remainder of the season.
