Good Morning Gentlemen. The day has finally arrived. The biggest league match Spurs has played since May of 2009 (incidentally, also against Manchester City) has arrived. Tottenham Hotspur sit third on the table with 46 points from 21 matches. Manchester City sit first with 51 points from 21 matches. A win today pulls Spurs to within a single match of Manchester City. A loss severely sets back Tottenham Hotspur in their race for the title. We all know the stakes and they are as they are.
Pressure is heating up on both sides before the match. Harry Redknapp has come out before the match and said that Roberto Mancini needs to deliver or be sacked by the club. Mancini has responded and said that with a win today, Manchester City could put Tottenham in a hole it can't get out of. Needless to say, there is no love lost between the two clubs.
The usual suspects are still injured, and this is coupled with the absence of Emmanuel Adebayor due to a clause in his loan contract. However, Ledley is back.
