Tottenham Swoop for Blackburn duo to happen now or never, for terribly obvious reasons

Christopher Samba handed in a transfer request at Blackburn Rovers. Junior Hoilett's contract expires in June, at which point he will be able to leave Blackburn on a free. Blackburn need money. These players are both good at football. Samba is a central defender and Hoilett is a right winger. Tottenham Hotspur need players in both of these positions. This has led to Tottenham being linked to both players throughout the window. Now you're caught up on the basics!

To this point, no bid has been made. I'm not going to link a story, because every single stupid outlet on the internet is reporting it, but Tottenham are still said to be interested in both players. Blackburn claims to be unwilling to sell unless they get stupid money. That's just good business.

Whether or not anything happens with Samba and Hoilett today, their names will be mentioned on ITK forums and Sky Sports News more than once. They will be central fixtures throughout the day, and there will be rumors that both players were spotted at Spurs Lodge. This is just a friendly heads up.

Personally, I don't think Tottenham will be signing any big-name senior players today, but if they sign anyone, Samba and Hoilett are good bets.
